About The Business Administration: Management/Marketing Training

The Business Administration: Management/Marketing program provides students with the opportunity to gain strong managerial knowledge and skills, as well as the marketing and sales skills training needed to be an effective leader. Students are introduced to accounting, computer applications, and communication skills. The program includes an educational 3-day trip to New York City.

In addition all of the programs at LVC have an internship component. The internship allows the students to receive hands on practical experience and serves as a finishing course for their program of study. Students are placed in positions in facilities that match their program and are supervised during this training period.

Upon successful completion of the program, an Associate in Science Degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Management / Marketing is awarded. John F. Bing is credentialed as an Assistant Professor of Business specializing in the areas of Financial Management & Economics. He currently occupies the Business Administration Department Chair position where he oversees the Management/Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, & Accounting Programs. Mr. Bing teaches in adjunct capacity for Cedar Crest College . His career spans 12 years in business and industry including 14 years of duty in the military reserves. He enjoys traveling and has visited 13 foreign countries. Specializing in a in a variety of topics in investments, cost containment, and personal finance, Mr. Bing received his Bachelor of Science from Bloomsburg University of PA and Masters in Business Administration from DeSales University.









Larry A. Moyer
Assistant Professor
Business Programs


Professor Moyer holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health, Recreation and Physical Education from East Stroudsburg University and is currently completing a Master of Science in Management at Rosemont College. Professor Moyer brings 42 years of teaching experience in public education to ABS. In addition, Professor Moyer completed 32 master credits at Springfield College, 24 master credits at Temple University and completed an A.S.B. Degree in Travel and Tourism from ABS in 1998. He is a member of the Allentown Preservation League, Old Allentown Historic Association, and Old Allentown Night Watch Club. Professor Moyer is actively involved in Sigma Pi Association at East Stroudsburg University and Temple University Alumni Association. He is affiliated with the Eastern Travel Association, the American Hotel and Lodging Association, and Toastmasters of the Lehigh Valley.

A passionate traveler, Professor Moyer has documented the transformation of Eastern Europe from the post communist era to its global entry into the Economic Union. When not teaching classes, Professor Moyer competes in the U.S. Masters Swimming Program and volunteers in community clean-up projects.






Rebecca HeidRebecca Heid
Assistant Professor
Business & Hospitality

Assistant Professor Heid holds a Master of Business Administration Degree with a concentration in International Trade from Johnson & Wales University, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Industrial Management from Pennsylvania State University. She attended school in two different locations in Switzerland for a summer and experienced the opportunity to travel and take classes in a different atmosphere.

Ms. Heid brings four years of experience in Management to her classes. She has worked in Washington, DC for Sodexho at American University. She also worked for Sodexho in Cumberland, Rhode Island at Bryant College. Ms. Heid held a position as a manager with ARAMARK at the Lansdale Merck Pharmaceutical location.

Ms. Heid is an active member in the Hotel, Restaurant, and Industrial Management Alumni Association. She is also a member of the Pennsylvania State Alumni Association as well as the Johnson & Wales Alumni Association. She carries a license in Accidental Death and Health insurance.

Professor Heid enjoys traveling, reading, attending wine tasting events, experiencing new restaurants, and spending time with her family.






Brian HagueBrian Hague
Adjunct Faculty

Prior to joining the staff at Lehigh Valley College as an adjunct professor, Brian had a successful career with Henkel Corporation, a $17 billion global manufacturer of industrial and consumer products such as Loctite® adhesives, Duck® Tape and Dial® soap. During this time he worked in a matrix structure on various world-wide teams, holding positions of Production Supervisor, R&D Chemist, Quality Control Supervisor, Market/Product Manager, Strategic Marketing Manager, Technical Service Engineer and Senior Account Manager.

He holds a B.S. in Management (High Honors) from Rutgers University, Rutgers School of Business; an MBA in Marketing and International Business from Lehigh University, College of Business and Economics; and a CPD in Finance from The University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School.






Kevin FuraKevin Fura
Assistant Professor
Business Administration


Professor Fura holds a Bachelor in Science in Business Administration, Management from Pennsylvania State University; A.S.B. in Accounting from Allentown Business School; has earned 27 credits toward an Masters in Arts in History from Lehigh University.

Professor Fura has 20 years of teaching experience at Lehigh Valley College. He is currently researching the effects of deindustrialization on Reading and Berks County for his masters thesis. His main area of research is urban American history. He is a member of the American Historical Association, Berks County Historical Society, and the Society for American Baseball Research, and is serving as a faculty representative on the Lehigh Valley College Board of Governors. Professor Fura also enjoys reading, traveling, baseball, and walking.
