About The Network Support Program
The Networking Support program is designed to provide students the opportunity to gain the knowledge, skill, and experience needed to install, configure, and replace computer components within today's most common PC operating systems. Training is focused on LANs and help desks in business, industry, education, and government settings. The course exposes students to the integration of multiple hardware and operating system configurations and helps them to troubleshoot multi-platform operating systems. The curriculum also provides exposure to network configuration, administration, hardware, maintenance and security.
In addition all of the programs at LVC have an internship component. The internship allows the students to receive hands on practical experience and serves as a finishing course for their program of study. Students are placed in positions in facilities that match their program and are supervised during this training period.
Upon successful completion of program requirements students will be awarded an Associate in Science Degree. In most cases, the Network Support Degree can be earned in as little as 18 months.

Erica Honeyman
Department Chair
Design & Technology
Professor Erica Honeyman earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Kutztown University where she majored in photography. Upon graduating, she became a photo retoucher and graphic designer at a local camera retail establishment where she managed the department. During this time she also assisted professional photographers in the area, doing retouching for them, training them in Adobe Photoshop and learning more about the business of photography. In 1998, she opened her own photo studio where she specialized in fine art portraiture, retouching and creating ads for local companies. While running her studio she was asked to teach part time at Allentown Business School. She really enjoyed teaching and took a full time position at Gibbs College in NJ in 1999. After a year, when her supervisor left, she was asked to run the Visual Communications department. She stayed with Gibbs College until 2004, moving up to an academic dean position and earning a Masters of Education degree in Instructional Technology before she left. She then decided to return to Pennsylvania and accepted the program chair position at Lehigh Valley College for the Visual Communications program.
Professor Honeyman is happy to be back in Pennsylvania doing what she loves - being creative and teaching others how to do the same. She is involved with many artistic activities in the Valley, and is an educational representative on the board for The Greater Lehigh Valley Ad Club.
